Team News

Livingston
Kilmarnock
  • Davie Martindale named two changes to the Livingston team after their winless run without scoring continued as St Mirren snuck past them 1-0 in Paisley, before a sole goal was enough for Hibernian to leave West Lothian victorious.
  • Ayo Obileye entered the Livi back three, joining Michael Mottingham and Mikey Devlin. Jamie Brandon also came into the starting eleven as he joined Jason Holt, Sean Kelly and James Penrice in a four-man midfield.
  • Andrew Shinnie and Scott Pittman moved further in front, supporting lone striker Kurtis Guthrie. Both Bruce Anderson and Joel Nouble dropped out of the Livi team, as they opted to change both shape and personnel.
  • Kilmarnock manager Derek McInnes named two changes to the Killie team that was victorious at Pittodrie against Aberdeen 1-0, before beating Celtic for the second time this season at Rugby Park on Sunday afternoon.
  • Killie shifted to a back four consisting of Lewis Mayo, Robbie Deas, Stuart Findlay and Corrie Ndaba. Liam Polworth entered the midfield, taking David Watson's place given the teenager was suspended at the weekend.
  • Matty Kennedy proved the matchwinner against Celtic, he took Marley Watkins' place on the left-hand side. Danny Armstrong started on the right-hand side, with club captain Kyle Vassell leading the line as the sole striker.

Prediction

  • Things couldn't get much lower for Livingston right now, who face a Kilmarnock team that are brimming with confidence ahead of their weekend match.
  • Livingston claimed an unwanted record at the weekend, as they became the first top-tier team since Aberdeen to lose six consecutive league matches without scoring. However, Livi have lost seven on the spin, watching on as the likes of Ross County and St Johnstone have began to open up gaps following managerial changes. Needless to say, a win here would be of a huge significance.
  • Kilmarnock clinched their first away league victory of the campaign in dramatic circumstances, up in Aberdeen with a late winner. However, they also clinched a second victory over Celtic this season after they knocked the league leaders out of the League Cup before handing them a first Premiership defeat of the campaign. They have beaten Celtic twice in a campaign for the first time since 1964-65.
  • Killie have laid their away day demons to rest recently, and should take advantage of a Livingston team that are stuck at the foot of the Premiership table and simply cannot score goals.
