- Hibs boss Nick Montgomery named an unchanged Hibernian team that clinched a routine 3-0 victory over Livingston at Easter Road before the international break, before they lost 3-1 to Rangers at Ibrox on Saturday afternoon.
- David Marshall remained behind Chris Cadden, Will Fish, Rocky Bushiri and Jordan Obita in the Hibees' back four. Joe Newell and Nectarios Triantis continued in midfield.
- Élie Youan and Hibernian's weekend goalscorer Myziane Maolida provided the width from the right and left flank respectively. Emiliano Marcondes supported lone striker Adam Le Fondre in Glasgow at the weekend.
- St Johnstone boss Craig Levein named three changes to the Saints side that fell to a 3-1 defeat to Celtic at Parkhead before the international break, as they lost the Tayside derby 2-1 to Dundee at the weekend.
