- Dundee boss Tony Docherty named just one enforced change to the Dee team that beat Aberdeen 1-0 at Dens before the international break, as they clinched back-to-back league victories with a 2-1 Tayside derby success on Saturday.
- Jon McCracken remained in goal, behind an unchanged Dee defence consisting of Antonio Portales, Joe Shaughnessy and Aaron Donnelly. Dara Costelloe continued at right wing-back, with Owen Dodgson at left wing back against St Johnstone.
- Mo Sylla, Lyall Cameron and Luke McCowan carried on in midfield. Scott Tiffoney was partnered by Amadou Bakayoko in attack - who netted the weekend winner at McDiarmid Park - at the injured Curtis Main's expense.
- Stuart Kettlewell named four changes to the Motherwell team that lost by a sole goal to Aberdeen at Fir Park before the international break, as they were held at home by St Mirren in a 1-1 draw at the weekend.
- Stephen O'Donnell moved into the Steelmen's back three, as Adam Devine took Bevis Mugabi's place in the team to start at right wing-back. Davor Zdravkovski and Andy Halliday both re-entered the Motherwell midfield.
- Georgie Gent came in at left wing-back, to replace Shane Blaney. Sam Nicholson and Lennon Miller dropped onto the bench, as Blair Spittal looked to support Jack Vale and Theo Bair - who netted against Saints on Saturday - up front.
