- Dundee boss Tony Docherty named five changes to the Dee team that lost 2-1 to Hibernian at Easter Road last weekend, before a 7-1 midweek mauling away to Celtic in Glasgow on Wednesday night.
- Antonio Portales made a first appearance since December, as he and Ricki Lamie joined club captain Joe Shaughnessy in the back three. Aaron Donnelly and Dara Costelloe made way as Jordan McGhee and Owen Beck continued as wing-backs.
- Malachi Boateng and Fin Robertson replaced Mo Sylla and Lyall Cameron to join Luke McCowan in midfield. Curtis Main took Scott Tiffoney's place to join Amadou Bakayoko in attack before Michael Mellon's consolation goal.
- Kilmarnock manager Derek McInnes named an unchanged Killie team after their comfortable 2-0 victory over Aberdeen at Rugby Park on Saturday, before they also lost in midweek but to Rangers 2-1 in Ayrshire on Wednesday night.
- Killie can tinker between a back four or three centre backs with wing-backs. Lewis Mayo, Joe Wright and Stuart Findlay were chosen in the centre. Corrie Ndaba and Danny Armstrong provide the width on the left and right flank respectively.
- Liam Donnelly, Liam Polworth and Matty Kennedy all kept their places in midfield. Club captain Kyle Vassell and Marley Watkins lead the line once again, with Greg Stewart and Kevin van Veen on the bench.
