- Stephen Robinson named three changes to the St Mirren side that lost 5-2 to Kilmarnock in Ayrshire where they were two goals to the good prior to the international break, before a 1-1 draw with Motherwell at Fir Park at the weekend.
- Zach Hemming continued in goal with Alex Gogic and Marcus Fraser remaining in the Buddies' back three, joined by the incoming James Bolton who took Charles Dunne's spot. Scott Tanser remained at left wing-back.
- Ryan Strain made his first league appearance since November at right wing-back, replacing Ryan Flynn. Caolan Boyd-Munce and club captain Mark O'Hara carried on in midfield. Conor McMenamin made way for Toyosi Olusanya in attack.
- Hearts boss Steven Naismith made four changes after the Jambos lost 2-1 to Ross County in the Highlands before the international break, as Kilmarnock held the men in maroon at home in a 1-1 draw at Tynecastle on Saturday afternoon.
- Frankie Kent came back into the Jambos defence at Kye Rowles' expense. Toby Sibbick also made way as the Jambos shifted to a back four. Dexter Lembikisa replaced Nathaniel Atkinson at right-back. Jorge Grant took Cammy Devlin's spot in midfield.
- Macauley Tait made his first senior Hearts start against Killie to partner Beni Baningime in midfield. Weekend goalscorer Kenneth Vargas and Alan Forrest supported Lawrence Shankland up front.
