Prediction

  • Basaksehir were beaten 2-0 by Alanyaspor last time out. This was one of the most subdued performances by the Istanbul side since they signed Belozoglu. They lacked creativity in open play and looked very fragile at the back. Belozoglu's strange squad decisions, such as using Touba as a left-back when Lima was already available, was the main reason behind this unconvincing performance. With a few tweaks in the starting XI, Basaksehir should be able to get their first points of the season here.
  • Karagumruk were beaten 1-0 by Besiktas last time out. Erdem's team showed not even an iota of a desire to attack and didn't deserve to get anything out of the game. The young manager's bizarre decision to use Dursun, a right-back, in the lone striker role and his overall approach to the game is perhaps a sign that it is too soon for Erdem to take charge of a Super Lig club.
