Newcastle
- Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino is without six players due to injury, including recent absentees Robert Sanchez, Marc Cucurella and Reece James.
- Ben Chilwell, Romeo Lavia and Lesley Ugochukwu are doubts.
- Christopher Nkunku was an unused sub for Saturday's win over Sheffield United and he may feature in some capacity here.
- Newcastle lost both Joelinton and Fabian Schar to injury in the first half against Fulham and the pair will be assessed, as will Alexander Isak and Kieran Trippier.
- Sven Botman made his first appearance since September off the bench against Fulham and his availability is a boost for Eddie Howe, who is without eight players due to injury or suspension.
- Lewis Hall is clear to play here and should feature in some capacity against his parent club.

Chelsea are not in Europe. This will be a big priority. No way that Maatsen starts. Palmer will be on the right I reckon. Gallagher/Fernandez will rotate in the no.10 role.
Chelsea win
