Team News

Arsenal
Liverpool
  • Arsenal could be without first-choice left-back Oleksandr Zinchenko once again, as he faces a race against time to be fit for this clash.
  • Mohamed Elneny and Takehiro Tomiyasu are both away on international duty with their respective national teams.
  • Liverpool star Mohamed Salah will miss a number of weeks as he takes part in the Africa Cup of Nations with Egypt.
  • Wataru Endo is also absent as he takes part in the Asian Cup.

Prediction

  • Arsenal brought 2023 to a close with back-to-back defeats against West Ham and Fulham.
  • The Gunners took an early lead when they visited Anfield last month, but were eventually forced to settle for a draw.
  • Liverpool put four past Newcastle on Monday evening to extend their unbeaten run in all competitions to five matches.
  • Jurgen Klopp's side were, however, beaten on their last trip to the Emirates, in October 2022.
  • This one looks set to entertain, with a point perhaps the likeliest outcome.

  • Arsenal need a Prolific striker like Toney. They create loads of chances in games but fail to convert them.

  • @Marbella They are fine as they are ;)

  • L I v, e r p, double oh l Liverpool FC!

  • how the heck could that arsenal uniform be legit? You can't read the damn shirtnumbers.

  • @Terry Exactly, they should have made the numbers in black

  • Over 2.5 goals

  • I think this game is more important for Liverpool than for Arsenal. Liverpool usually do best when they have multiple fronts to fight for and a psychological edge resulting from that in big matchups. Add onto that that the PL version of this fixture is pretty soon, and it becomes imperative that Liverpool show themselves that they can beat Arsenal on their own turf. For Arsenal’s part, unless Jesus and Martinelli find goalscoring form, they can kiss any outside title chances goodbye. For them, that is the most important objective to achieve from this fixture.

  • Liverpool to score

  • comfortable win for liverpool 3--0

  • Both teams have scored in 12 of Liverpools 14 away games this season.
