Tottenham
- Joe Willock sustained a thigh injury in the EFL Cup penalty shootout win over Nottingham Forest and misses out.
- Sandro Tonali played an hour upon his return to action, which is a boost for the Magpies.
- Fabian Schar serves the final game of a three-match ban, while Martin Dubravka, Sven Botman, Jamaal Lascelles, Callum Wilson and Lewis Miley miss out.
- Destiny Udogie has travelled with the squad and should start, but Micky van de Ven misses out, so Radu Dragusin will likely deputise.
- Dominic Solanke, Richarlison and Rodrigo Bentancur won't be available again until after the international break.
- Wilson Odobert impressed on his Spurs debut and should keep his spot on the left flank, while Pape Sarr may come in for Dejan Kulusevski in midfield.
What can only be said as a lucky win for Newcastle! Tottenham battered the Newcastle goal in the 2nd half and will rue missing all those chances!
Big test for Tottenham who don't do well against teams that use a mid block and attack down the wings. A point wouldn't be a bad result particularly given their last two matches at St James's Park. Newcastle 2-2 Tottenham
