Team News

Tottenham
Newcastle
  • Rodrigo Bentancur is suspended after he was shown a fifth yellow card of the season against Wolves.
  • An illness bug has swept through the Spurs camp this week to compound their current injury woes.
  • Among those who could miss out includes Archie Gray, Radu Dragusin and Fraser Forster, while captain Son Heung-Min and vice-captain James Maddison may also sit this one out.
  • Jamaal Lascelles, Callum Wilson, Nick Pope and Emil Krafth are all ruled out for Newcastle.
  • Sven Botman has been declared fit and available, while Kieran Trippier is a doubt and Fabian Schar is suspended.

Prediction

  • Tottenham are now winless in three Premier League matches following the draw with Wolves on Sunday.
  • The recent form of Ange Postecoglou's side has seen them slip into the Premier League's bottom half, and they will head into the weekend in 11th place.
  • Newcastle, meanwhile, made it five wins on the bounce with a comfortable 2-0 victory at Old Trafford on Monday.
  • Eddie Howe's side are in fine form, conceding just once across those five matches, and could take the points here.

  • maddison the mouth needs to concentrate on his game in silence

  • the tottenham coach needs to go to a lower division, the game is too quick for him

  • Is Timo Werner the worst player in PL ?

  • @neumi17 amongst them surely

  • What a shame there was no goal in the 2nd half. Tottenham were incompetent and Newcastle were just trying to hold on to the game.

  • at least hail of corners it was

  • Ange Postecoglou will be sacked soon.

  • @Marbella needs to be quick he got no idea and a big coat

  • @Marbella The players still believe in Ange and so do most of the fans so Levy might be wise to give him at least until the end of this month. Today Tottenham had to use a 3rd choice keeper, two young players in central defense, a 5th choice player at left back, and a 18 year old in central midfield and did far better than most expected.

  • @Marbella Absolutely,it looks like a Déjà vu for me when it comes to Tottenham. Lol

  • Postecoglou is looking for his ''demise''. How many Tottenham managers debuted with success, then start to fade away. How he could set up such a line-up without key players starting against a top team like Newcastle. How many teams did the same mistake. Barca did it during the time of Guardiola and they got punished by Hercules 2-0. No Messi,no Suarez, cuz Pep was thinking about next Champion League fixture.

  • @PunterBloke, what is the point of starting tired players? Now, they will go full force for 25-30 minutes when Newcastle is getting tired.

  • @koziol.mutant Also Bergvall is a really promising player, Werner is just the opposite.

  • @koziol.mutant Sorry buddy, this is not a boxing or wrestling game. 30 min are not enough.

  • @PunterBloke just watch ;)

  • @koziol.mutant Now ,it looks like they're playing an extra time.

  • @koziol.mutant In this case, maybe Postecoglou needs the fans to go in to help Tottenham win. Lol

  • @koziol.mutant I'm watching,but time is ticking. Lol

  • Now Tottenham 1x livebet;)

  • @koziol.mutant no goals 2nd half is insane

  • Imagine Barca had Anthony Gordon. My oh my. What a player!

  • @Jnanavatar555 he is too good for them

  • @koziol.mutant What has Newcastle accomplished better than Barcelona in one season, let alone a lifetime??

  • BOTH TEAMS TO SCORE IN BOTH HALVES

  • Woo - over 1.5 in 6min - niiiiiiiiiiiice :)

  • @Goaltrader87 Yes BUT over 1.5 was a very poor 1.07 Odds.

  • @Marbella It was yes. I use an exchange so still only got 1.09 - asked for 1.10 still but no takers. The price was a big negative for this first PL bet for me. It made me go large which is a bit silly. Not great value - just about 90% sureness it'll happen. The exchange still offered 6% return cashing out at 1:0 mind. So better than half, but then it would be at that very early stage. Obvs Newc blitzkreiged that settlement I'm happy to see

  • @Goaltrader87 I was going to have btts and over 2.5 but the odds were a terrible 1.44 odds so i decided not to go ahead.

  • Most of Tottenham's squad are tired, injured, or ill whereas Newcastle are in good form . Newcastle are particularly strong down the wings so playing defensively light wingers on both sides (Werner in front of Spence and Johnson in front of Porro) seems like suicide for Tottenham. Unfortunately, there aren't really other options. Sarr and Kulusevski will do a good job but are likely to get pulled out of position opening up the center. If ever there was a time for Werner and Bergvall to click... Tottenham 2-4 Newcastle.

  • Newcastle Win.

  • @Marbella I mananged get 1.80 Odds.

  • Isak TSA - 125

  • close game just because of how unpredictable spurs are. 3-2 win for newcastle

  • SPURS Austin; Pedro Porro, Dragusin, Gray, Spence; Bergvall, Sarr, Kulusevski (c); Johnson, Solanke, Werner.

  • @Marbella SUBS Whiteman, Hardy, Dorrington, Reguilon, Bissouma, Olusesi, Maddison, Son, Lankshear

  • NEWCASTLE Dubravka; Hall, Burn, Botman, Livramento; Joelinton, Tonali, Guimaraes; Gordon, Isak, Murphy.

  • @Marbella GK Austin on his debut and so will need a good start.

  • @Marbella SUBS Vlachodimos, Trippier, Barnes, Osula, Almirón, Kelly, Willock, Longstaff, Miley

  • Open play here. 3:2,2:3,2:2

  • I think Newcastle will start strong and maybe get the a goal somewhere in the first half. If Spurs can frustrate that from happening, maybe they can nick something second half. If not, I think Newcastle will will win 0:2 or 1:3 so going to trade over 1.5 for as long shots on goal keep happening either end.

  • Newcastle Win

  • Tough to see past an easy win for Newcastle here. Doesn't matter that Schar is out as Bottman is back. Spuds have been awful lately whilst Newcastle have hit top form.

  • Draw/Newcastle

  • GG & 4+ / Over 1.5 goals first half

  • 2-1

  • One never know what to expect from Tottenham. They can easily beat Newcastle just as they can easily lose. I don't think Postecoglu coaches that team. He just send 11 players to the pitch to attack in a very chaotic way. Because of that there will be goals. 3-2 either way.

  • @GoonerRSA, if you think ange doesn't coach this team, you're pretty clueless. Yep, the players just work it out for themselves. Baffling comment.

  • @GoonerRSA fully support your comments.

  • both with misses in defences, smell 2-2

  • @koziol.mutant Fair play. It very nearly was.

  • Spurs have kept just 1 clean sheet in their last 25 home league games.

  • Newcastle win

  • @FF2021 No doubt!
