- Dundee United manager Jim Goodwin named one change to the Terrors team that lost 2-1 to Motherwell in their match last midweek, before they left it late to grab a controversial point at Easter Road against Hibernian in a 1-1 draw on Sunday.
- Jack Walton continued in goal behind a back three of Kevin Holt, Declan Gallagher and Emmanuel Adegboyega. Will Ferry remained at left wing-back and Ryan Strain was handed a first Scottish Premiership start for United at right wing-back.
- David Babunski and Vicko Sevelj were given the nod in the middle of the park. Glenn Middleton and Luca Stephenson, who pushed higher up in place of Kristijan Trapanovski, supported Sam Dalby who has scored two goals in two games and three in four.
- Ross County boss Don Cowie made three changes after the Staggies were held at home by Hibernian in a goalless draw in Dingwall last Wednesday night, before another stalemate with the same scoreline away to St Mirren on Saturday.
- Ryan Leak was ill, so Elijah Campbell moved to join Akil Wright and Kacper Lopata as the trio of County centre-backs behind Ross Laidlaw in goal. James Brown kept his place at right wing-back but Josh Reid returned at left wing-back.
- Club captain Connor Randall was joined by Josh Nisbet - replacing Aidan Denholm - and Noah Chilvers in the middle of the park. Jack Grieves partnered Jordan White in attack, as top scorer Ronan Hale was sat amongst the substitutes in Paisley.
