- Dundee United manager Jim Goodwin named one enforced change to the Terrors team that succumbed to a late leveller in their 1-1 draw with Kilmarnock at Tannadice, before they lost a seven goal thriller 4-3 to Motherwell at Fir Park.
- Jack Walton continued in goal behind a back three of Kevin Holt, Declan Gallagher and Emmanuel Adegboyega. Glenn Middleton took the suspended Will Ferry's place at left wing-back as Ryan Strain continued at right wing-back.
- David Babunski and Vicko Sevelj were given the nod in the middle of the park once more. Luca Stephenson supported a strike duo of Sam Dalby and Louis Moult, who is facing a scan as a result of a shoulder injury he sustained last Saturday.

- Daizen Maeda and Nicolas Kühn - who both scored in the cup classic inside 90 minutes - were in support of lone striker Kyogo Furuhashi at Hampden, as the Hoops won the first domestic trophy of the season in Scotland.
