Team News

Sivasspor
Galatasaray
  • Achilleas Poungouras is expected to deputise for the injured Samuel Moutoussamy.
  • Mehmet Albayrak has suffered a cruciate ligament tear. The young defender will not be available until March 2025.
  • Erdem Gulec and Eymen Yurdcu, neither of whom were expected to start here, are also sidelined with injury.
  • Murat Paluli has served his suspension and will return to the starting XI.
  • Mauro Icardi has suffered a cruciate ligament tear and will not be available until the next season.
  • Ismail Jakobs has suffered a calf muscle tear that will keep him out of contention until 2025.
  • Kaan Ayhan has suffered a hamstring strain and will not be available until the end of December and Abdulkerim Bardakci's ankle injury will keep him out of the starting XI until the new year. So, Victor Nelsson and Metehan Baltaci are likely to start here.

Prediction

  • Sivasspor were beaten 2-1 by Antalyaspor last time out. They could have salvaged a point had their finishing not been below par. Moutoussamy injury is a massive blow as the midfielder has been one of Sivas's best performers so far this season. Against the wounded Lions, Uygun will unashamedly park the bus despite playing at home.
  • Galatasaray were held to a 2-2 draw by Eyupspor last time out. They created a plethora of chances but Ozer in opposition goal was simply magnificent. Buruk's real problem is at the back though. Injuries have exposed how Gala have not done a good job in the transfer market as Buruk seems to not trust some of the new arrivals like Jelert for instance to step up.
  • Galatasaray will attack this game from the get-go. They will certainly concede chances but are likely to get all three points.
