Team News

Rennes
Dijon
  • Mevlut Erding and Kader Mangane are still out with injuries.
  • Antonetti went with a midfield trio away at PSG. Expect the 4-2-3-1 to return this week. The decision will be whether to play M’Vila beside Doumbia or Pajot.
  • Gael Kakuta has played his last game for Dijon as Patrice Carteron has left him out of the squad. Also out through injury are Brice Jovial and Lesly Malouda.
  • Thomas Guerbert could return after recovering from a hamstring injury
  • Patrice Carteron named his travelling squad: Tchagouni, Reynet - Meite, Zarour, Bamba, Souprayen, Paulle, Varrault - Kumordzi, Sankharé, Bauthéac, Guerbert , Achour, Corgnet, Altama, Berenguer, Mollet - Kone, Thil.

Prediction

  • Rennes are fighting for a place in the Europa League where as Dijon are fighting for their place in Ligue 1. In their maiden season in France’s top flight Dijon have at times looked a good side, but defensively they have been inadequate. Brittany is not the region you want to go visit needing a victory.
  • Frederic Antonetti will want his side to react, and bounce back from defeats to Montpellier and PSG giving the home fans something to cheers about by making it into the Europa League again.
  • Dijon are 19th in the table, it would seem like only a win would give them any chance of staying up, although even that may not be enough if other results go against them. The Rennes frontline will fancy their chances against the Dijon defence, it could be Au Revoir for Les Rogues.
