Team News

Rayo Vallecano
Celta Vigo
  • Tito returned to training with the full squad on Thursday, so he could be ready to return to action.
  • Galeano also rejoined the full squad for training this week.
  • This week the club signed 20-year-old Borja Lopez, though he's not expected to start here.
  • Gustavo Cabral was given the all-clear on Wednesday by the team's doctor following a sprain to his ankle.

Prediction

  • Celta have been incredibly sporadic this season, one week losing to a weaker side, the next beating a side superior in quality or form and this is what they did once again last week. After losing two on the trot, Luis Enrique's men beat Sevilla and in the process, brought to an end Sevilla's greatest ever winning streak.
  • Rather than inconsistent, Rayo have just been downright under-par for most of the season. Yet, at this crucial time the Vallecas outfit are finding their feet and the results are coming. Rayo have won four of their last six matches and despite being thrashed by Real Madrid last weekend, Paco Jimez's side are confident again and they will be fancying themselves for all three points.

  • My favourite fanclubs are Betis, Atlético and Sevilla. But the Bukaneros are not far behind. Their play style is clearly La Liga level and I hope they will rise. The signs were shown in the last couple of fixtures, and for today I expect the same. Comfortable win for the home side. Vamos Rayo!

  • Rayo should stay in liga. An epic example of passionate club making their mark starting from the scratch in premiera. Their fans are certainly best in liga alongside betis & bilbao
