Team News

Scotland
Germany
  • Grant Hanley and Steven Naismith are one yellow card away from an automatic suspension, which could be crucial to Scotland's fate in this qualification period.
  • Gordon Strachan revealed he would be making changes to the side that slumped to a shocking 1-0 defeat to Georgia in their last outing. This could see the likes of Darren Fletcher, Matt Ritchie and James McArthur earn starting berths.
  • The Scotland manager has no injury concerns.
  • Marco Reus is Joachim Low's only injury concern for this fixutre. Low could pick the same XI that beat Poland 3-1 on Friday.
  • Bastian Schweinsteiger is one yellow card away from suspension.

Prediction

  • Failure to beat Germany will harbour any ambitions Scotland have of gaining automatic qualification to the Euros next summer. Scotland's shock defeat to Georgia looks to have undone all their hard work thus far and means a third place finish is likely to be the best they can manage.
  • Germany will qualify for next summers tournament with a win at Hampden Park and if Republic of Ireland lose to Georgia in Dublin.
  • Gordon Strachan's men have won their last four matches at home and will need their home support to get right behind them if they are to pull off an unlikely win. Defeat could leave Scotland with a mountatin to climb with Poland and Gibraltor to come.

  • how ironic is it for protestant dominated scotland that their greatest club team one of the finest in britain is actually of Irish identity only 15% population of Scotland is of Irtish stock-yet they dominate scottish football scene. And the greatest real scottish team Ragers(I know its Rangers but aren't they in rags right now?) is biting dust in lower leagues lol. So we have every reason to be proud of Ireland soon to be announced qualification.

  • welcome to the euros ireland. few more good games and ur there guys.

  • bye bye scotland.

  • Toni Kroos 97% pass success... holy crap :o

  • @fatehezio 151 toques, 143 passes, lol

  • Muller was brilliant. Also Gundogan was great too.

  • @sam09 Gündogan: dispossessed - 2, bad control - 5

  • @B196704 This is why one should watch the game instead of just looking at the stats...

  • @sam09 Götze as well .Amazing how he turned and shot in one move when he scored that offside goal. And Hello to the guy who down votes me :-)

  • By the way Gündogan has the number 21 not 8 ...

  • @neumi17 WhoScored always use numbers from their clubs

  • Come on Germany!

  • Well done Whoscored, both predictions pretty far off.

  • Scotland: Marshall - Hutton , R. Martin , Hanley , Mulgrew - McArthur , S. Brown - Maloney , J. Morrison , Forrest - S. Fletcher

  • Official lineup: Germany - Neuer - Can, Boateng, Hummels, Hector - Schweinsteiger (C), Kroos - Müller, Gündogan, Özil - Götze

  • This is a strange line up whoscored ! Of course Hector will play as a left back and not Can. Mustafi won't play at all ( who came up with this idea?) and Can will be right back again. And Loew already said that Guendogan will replace Bellarabi after his great performance against Poland. The starting lineup was actually quite easy to determine why did you get it so wrong?

  • 0-2

  • Super Mario to score and Germany win!
