Swansea have announced Borja Baston will spent next season on loan with Malaga.
Baston only joined the Premier League outfit for a club-record £15.5m fee but failed to make any impact in England and is no longer wanted by Paul Clement’s side.
The former Atletico Madrid and Eibar striker thrived in Spain prior to joining Swansea and Malaga have now offered the 24-year-old an escape route back to his homeland.
After losing Sandro Ramirez to Everton earlier this month, Malaga, who finished 11th in La Liga last season, have been looking to find a replacement for the former Barcelona striker.
They will hope Baston’s disastrous 12 months in England will prove a mere blip in his career as of players that made at least 15 appearances in the Premier League last season, only West Ham striker Ashley Fletcher a WhoScored rating as low as the Spaniard (6.11).
