Stoke outcast poised for shock Paris Saint-Germain move
Stoke outcast Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting has emerged as a shock target for Paris Saint-Germain, claims The Sun.
The Potters are keen to offload Choupo-Moting’s £60,000-a-week wages following the club’s relegation to the Championship.
Choupo-Moting only joined Stoke 12 months ago but has no future at the club as they look to mount a promotion push this season.
The 29-year-old has until Friday to secure a move away from Stoke and could now complete one of the most extraordinary transfers of the summer.
PSG sold Goncalo Guedes to Valencia earlier this week for a reported €40m fee and are interested in making Choupo-Moting his replacement.
Thomas Tuchel is familiar with the Cameroon international from their respective stints in the Bundesliga and believes he could add depth in forward areas.
Choupo-Moting has not featured for Gary Rowett’s side this season but played a direct hand in 10 goals in the Premier League last term (five goals, five assists).
