Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil has confirmed talks about a new deal will continue when he returns from international duty.
Ozil, 28, has less than two years on his existing deal and there had been concerns the former Real Madrid ace wouldn’t look to extend his stay with the Gunners.
However, the Germany international insists talks about a new deal will continue when club football resumes.
“I have a contract until 2018,” Ozil told German publication Express, via the London Evening Standard. “We have had discussions, but they were suspended for the European Championship.
“I wanted to focus at this time only on the national team. Now we look to continue the negotiations.”
In the last four Premier League campaigns no player has created more chances than Ozil (295).

Two years to go and people are already getting hot and bothered worrying that he won't re-sign. Does this level of paranoia surround players from other clubs with this length of time left on their contract? I think not.
