Bundesliga outfit Hertha Berlin have signed Matteo Guendouzi on a season-long loan deal, the Premier League outfit have confirmed.
Guendouzi has been offloaded by the Gunners after dropping completely out of favour under Mikel Arteta since the start of the year.
The 21-year-old was a fan favourite at Arsenal prior to Arteta's appointment but has started just four Premier League matches under the Spaniard.
Arsenal have failed to whip up any serious interest in Guendouzi all summer and have now sanctioned a straightforward loan move to Hertha.

The German outfit are hugely ambitious without being able to offer European football at present and have moved for Guendouzi after failing to re-sign Marko Grujic from Liverpool on loan.
With Lucas Torreira also expected to join Atletico Madrid on deadline day, Arsenal have now rekindled their interest in Thomas Partey.
Arsenal have lost as many league games from the four league matches Guendouzi has started under Arteta as the 20 matches he has not (3).
