Everton battling Parma in race for Bayern teenager

Everton are battling with Parma to sign Bayern Munich teenager Joshua Zirkzee, according to Sky Germany.

The Premier League side have lodged a bid to land the youngster on loan from the Bundesliga outfit for the remainder of the season.

The offer is to take Zirkzee until the end of the 2020/21 campaign with an option to buy for around €10m.

However, Everton face competition from Italian outfit Parma, with the Serie A side hoping to add another attacker to the ranks to help beat the drop.

Parma currently sit 19th in Serie A, but are just a point off safety and have scored fewer goals (14) than any other side in Italy's top tier this term.

Bayern, though, are yet to accept an offer for Zirkzee and will make a decision on the Dutch striker in the coming days.

The 19-year-old has made five senior appearances for Bayern this season, though was sent off on his most recent appearance for Bayern II.
