Chelsea are on the verge of completing a sensational £9m deal for AC Milan goalkeeper Pepe Reina, claims The Sun.
Reina only left Napoli to join Milan on a free transfer earlier this month but is now being linked with a sensational reunion with Maurizio Sarri.
Chelsea are on the market for a new goalkeeper with Thibaut Courtois closing in on a high profile move to Real Madrid.
Sarri signed Reina as Napoli manager in 2015 and the Spain international spent three seasons as his No.1 at the San Paolo.
Reina’s arrival at Milan cast doubts over Gianluigi Donnarumma’s future but now it has emerged the Serie A giants could make a quick profit on the veteran.
Sarri has already reunited with former Napoli midfielder Jorginho and believes Reina will also bring the required knowledge to carry out his philosophy at Chelsea.
Reina spent nine years at Liverpool before leaving to join Bayern Munich in 2014 and is now closing in on a shock Premier League return.
The 35-year-old kept more clean sheets than any other goalkeeper in Serie A last season (18).
