Aston Villa target Steve Mandanda is still weighing up his future at Marseille, according to RMC.
Mandanda, 30, has entered the final six months of his deal with the Ligue 1 outfit and has been heavily linked with a move to the Premier League in recent weeks.
Premier League strugglers Aston Villa are one of those rumoured to be very interested in signing the France international this month, but may have to sweat it out with the goalkeeper still unsure where his future lies.
“Steve is thinking today about what is good for him, to leave or to stay. As soon as the decision is made, we will look at different options more attentively,” a source is quoted as telling RMC.
Mandanda has been Marseille’s No.1 man between the sticks since joining permanently from Le Harve in 2008. Since the start of the following season, only Stephane Ruffier has kept more clean sheets in France’s top flight than Mandanda (78).
