Manchester United confident they have won race for prodigious midfielder

Manchester United are confident they have beaten off competition from the likes of Liverpool and Borussia Dortmund in the race to sign Birmingham City midfielder Jude Bellingham, according to 90Min.

The teenager has attracted hefty interest from across Europe following a series of mature displays in the Championship this season and a number of sides had been courting the 16-year-old.

Borussia Dortmund were rumoured to have convinced Bellingham to move to Germany, but reports now suggest that United have all but secured his services.

Bellingham and his parents visited United's training facilities earlier this month in a bid to convince the player to swap Birmingham for Manchester.

Indeed, United are now confident they have done enough to ensure that Bellingham moves to Old Trafford ahead of Dortmund and other Premier League rivals.

Bellingham has made 25 starts for Birmingham this season and earned a commendable WhoScored rating of 6.79 before football was postponed due to Coronavirus.
