Napoli have signed Arkadiusz Milik from Ajax in a record £29.6m, his management group confirmed on Monday.
The 22-year-old striker has been signed to replace Gonzalo Higuain, who joined Juventus in an Italian record £76m deal last week.
Milik, who featured for Poland at Euro 2016, has now become Ajax’s record export after his fee surpassed the amount they received when Real Madrid paid £22.9m to sign Wesley Sneijder in 2007.
Only Luuk De Jong (46) has scored more goals in the last two Eredivisie campaigns than Milik (32). He has signed a five-year deal with Napoli.
