United to reject Sevilla’s loan bid for Martial

Manchester United have no interest in letting Anthony Martial leave in January amid interest from Spanish side Sevilla, reports The Daily Mail.

Martial has struggled to make any impact at United under Jose Mourinho this season and has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford next month as a result.

West Ham’s audacious swoop for the former Golden Boy winner was turned down by United earlier this month and Mourinho’s side will also reject Sevilla’s attempt to take the France international on loan until the end of the season when the transfer window opens next month.

The 21-year-old joined United from Monaco last year in a deal worth an initial £36m and enjoyed a stunning first year in England under Louis van Gaal, but the pacey sideman has struggled to adapt to the demands of Mourinho, although he remains highly rated within the club and by the manager.

Despite barely featuring for United in the league this season, no teammate has scored more league goals in the Premier League since the start of last season than Martial (12).
