Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is keen on wrapping up a deal for sought after Ajax midfielder Riechedly Bazoer, according to The Daily Mirror.
Bazoer, 19, is one of the most exciting players coming through the ranks in Holland and he has already been mooted with a move to Barcelona, which is his dream move.
The Netherlands international was disappointing against Arsenal in their recent friendly but that hasn’t deterred Wenger from admiring the central midfielder.
Wenger is planning another shake-up at the Emirates in the summer after failing to land the Premier League title and has earmarked Bazoer as one of several players to bring in at the end of the season.
Bazoer has played a direct hand in nine league goals for Ajax this season (five goals, four assists), but it is his retention of the ball that is most impressive when factoring his age. Of Ajax players to have started in at least 20 matches this season, only one teammate has a higher pass success rate than Bazoer (85.1%).
