Strachan to remain in charge against England

Gordon Strachan will remain as Scotland manager when they play England in their next World Cup qualifier in November, according to The Daily Mirror.

The 59-year-old was reportedly mulling his future as Scotland manager following their poor 3-0 defeat to Slovakia on Tuesday that has left their qualification process hanging in the balance.

However, Strachan has changed his tune and is committed to Scotland’s national team after receiving assurances from within the squad, although that could change following the outcome of the Battle of Britain fixture against England next month.

Strachan has only managed 15 wins from his 32 matches in charge of Scotland and has only won one of his last five.
