Stoke City are interested in signing Liverpool defender Mamadou Sakho on a season-long loan deal, according to The Daily Telegraph.
Sakho, 26, has been available for loan by Jurgen Klopp as the Liverpool manager looks to get the defender match fit again.
Sunderland have already rejected Sakho due to Liverpool’s insistence of including a recall clause but Stoke are monitoring the Frenchman’s progress before the window shuts on Wednesday.
Since joining Liverpool from Paris Saint-Germain in 2013 the Reds’ win ratio is better without Sakho in the starting XI (57.1%) compared to their success with him in the team (47.2%).
