Marcelo has committed his long-term future to Real Madrid after signing a new deal until June 2020.
The Brazil international has been at the club since 2007 and has been touted as Los Blancos' next captain should both Iker Casillas and Sergio Ramos leave this summer.
The 27-year-old full-back's energy and drive going forward has turned into a potent weapon for Madrid in the last few years. The Brazilian has made at least 16 more key passes (94) than any other defender in the last two La Liga seasons.
Furthermore, no defender registered more assists than Marcelo last season in La Liga (7) and similarly, only one defender successfully completed more dribbles in the Champions League last term than Madrid's Brazilian left-back (2.6).
