Celtic have confirmed they have signed Carlton Cole on a free transfer after the former Chelsea striker impressed while training with the Scottish Premier League champions.
Cole, 32, was released by West Ham at the end of last season and had been training with Celtic side over the last month and has now put pen to paper on a two-year deal with the reigning Scottish Premier League champions.
The England striker has found first-team football hard to come by over the last three years having only started 27.2% of West Ham’s Premier League fixtures in this period (31).
