Chelsea will not hand captain John Terry a fresh contract and the veteran defender will have to find a new club in the summer if he wants to prolong his playing career, reports The London Evening Standard.
Terry has entered the final few months of his current Chelsea deal after being handed a 12-month extension upon Antonio Conte’s arrival last summer but the former England international has dropped down the pecking order under the Chelsea manager this season.
The 35-year-old was expected to retire at the end of the season but reversed his decision earlier this month when he revealed his intentions to continue playing beyond the current campaign, although that would now mean away from Chelsea.
Terry has been at Chelsea since 1998 and established himself as a legend at Stamford Bridge and in the Premier League, but only four starts in the league this season would suggest this is the end for Terry.
