Arsene Wenger is poised to announce he has decided to stay on as Arsenal manager beyond the end of this season, reports The Daily Mirror.
The Arsenal manager has come under heavy pressure to walk away from the north London outfit when his current contract expires at the end of the season and it seemed like he would after announcing he had decided on his future in the wake of their 3-1 defeat to West Brom at the weekend.
However, Wenger is actually thought to have decided to remain as Arsenal manager beyond the current campaign and could even sign the two-year extension that has been on the table from the board for most of the season.
Arsenal have only won three of their last nine matches in all competitions and now face a real fight to even make the top four following their latest defeat. They are currently sixth in the Premier League and six points adrift of fourth placed Liverpool, although they do have two games in hand.
