Dutch striker has offers to return to England

Robin van Persie has been offered to Premier League sides West Ham and Crystal Palace after being put up for sale by Fenerbahce, reports the Sun on Sunday.

The former Arsenal and Manchester United striker is keen on a return to England after just one season in Turkey, with the Premier League pair now mulling over a possible offer.

Van Persie may have endured a somewhat difficult campaign with Fenerbahce, but 16 goals was a commendable return by the 32-year-old.

It is thought that Fenerbahce would be willing to sell for as little as £4m, the same they paid United to secure his services last summer.

“Van Persie? We’re waiting for buyers, if he wants to be sold,” Fenerbahce president Azil Yildirim said earlier this week.

West Ham are in the market for a new frontman this summer, as a Palace, though their primary target at this time remains Christian Benteke.
