Bale wants to leave Real Madrid in January

Gareth Bale has ran out of patience with Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane and wants to leave the club in January, claims MARCA.

Bale was heavily linked with a move away from Madrid in the summer but the Spanish side failed to find a willing buyer for the Wales international.

The former Tottenham star was in talks to secure a blockbuster move to China but a deal collapsed before Madrid decided to take the 30-year-old off the market.

Bale and Zidane's relationship seemed to be on the mend at the start of the season but things have taken another twist.

Bale was unhappy after being left out of the squad for Madrid's 2-2 draw at home to Club Brugge at the start of the month.

The Welshman thought he was being punished by Zidane and contacted his agent to begin the process of finding a new club for January.

It has since emerged Zidane was advised by Madrid's medical staff to rest Bale as the forward's records showed he was in danger of picking up another injury.

Nevertheless, Bale has his mind set on leaving Madrid at the next available opportunity as he feels he has been hung out to dry by the club under Zidane.

Bale has spent the last six years at Madrid but his time at the club has been disrupted by a number of injuries.

In fact, Bale has only managed to start 58.6% of Madrid's league matches since joining the club for a then-world record £85.3m fee.

Bale has managed to start six of Madrid's opening nine league matches this season and has played a direct hand in four goals in that time (two goals, two assists).
