Barcelona and Real Madrid want £50m-rated Monaco wonderkid
Barcelona and Real Madrid are ready to battle Arsenal and Manchester City for the signing of Monaco wonderkid Kylian Mbappe this summer, reports The Independent.
Mbappe, 18, has been dubbed the next Thierry Henry after enjoying a dazzling breakthrough campaign for free-scoring Ligue 1 leaders Monaco and he is already been tipped for as a future Ballon d’Or winner.
City manager Pep Guardiola got to see Mbappe close up in their thrilling 5-3 win over Monaco in the Champions League in midweek in which the teenager proved too much to handle for City’s abysmal defence.
However, Guardiola is not the only manager after his signature and Monaco are expecting make at least £50m on the youngster this summer after City were willing to part ways with £40m to sign him at the start of the season.
The teenager has scored or assisted 17 goals in 26 appearances in all competitions for Monaco this season.
