Joao Cancelo has turned down the chance to join Wolves and will sign for Juventus instead, claims Spanish outlet Superdeporte.
The Portugal international spent last season on loan at Inter but Luciano Spalletti’s side do not have the resources to make the switch permanent.
Inter are back in the Champions League next season but will instead focus on bolstering other areas of the pitch with big money signings.
Cancelo has returned to Valencia but the Spanish side need to raise €45m before the end of the month to meet Financial Fair Play requirements.
Newly promoted Premier League side Wolves tabled a shock €40m bid and it was thought Cancelo would agree to reunite with former Valencia boss Nuno.
However, it has now emerged that Cancelo, who was left out of Portugal’s 23-man World Cup squad, has agreed personal terms with Juventus.
The Old Lady are now ironing out the structure of the deal with their Spanish counterparts, as it’s unclear whether it will be an initial loan with obligation to buy or straight transfer.
Cancelo finished last season in the WhoScored Team of the Season in Serie A, with a rating of 7.12.
