PSG to rival Madrid for Spain international

Paris Saint-Germain have entered the race to sign Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea, according to The Daily Mirror.

De Gea, 25, has arguably been United’s best player this season and is firmly on Madrid’s radar having failed to sign the Spaniard on the final day of the transfer window last summer.

The Spain international went on to sign a new long-term contract to put questions regarding his United future to bed, although there is a reported £30m release clause in his new deal to allow him to make his dream switch to Madrid in the future.

However, Los Blancos may face competition from PSG, who are reportedly willing to splash £30m on the goalkeeper after identifying him as their No.1 transfer target.

Since the start of last season only two goalkeepers have kept more clean sheets in the Premier League than De Gea (20).
