Chelsea boss refuses to rule out move for Bundesliga’s best-rated player

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has refused to rule out a move for Bayern Munich midfielder Arturo Vidal, reports the Daily Mail.

The Chilean has been linked with a £53m move to the defending Premier League champions that would see Vidal and Conte link up once again having worked together between 2011 and 2014 with Juventus.

Conte refused to comment on the 30-year-old, but did eventually reveal his admiration for Vidal after Chelsea’s 2-0 win over Brighton.

“I don’t speak about players from other teams’ card,” Conte said.

“I must be honest, it's not right to talk about a player of another team. Especially if you try to link this player with us.

“But Arturo is a fantastic player, I have a great respect for Arturo, and we spent many years in Juventus together.

“If we go to war, I’d always want him with me.”
