Chelsea defender out for a month with hamstring injury

Chelsea’s injury list is beginning to pile up after Victor Moses became the third player in a matter of weeks to suffer a hamstring injury, reports The Daily Telegraph.

Moses limped off 38 minutes into Chelsea’s shock 2-1 defeat to Crystal Palace on Saturday and is now facing up to a month out injured with a hamstring injury.

Antonio Conte is already without N’Golo Kante for the remainder of the month due to a hamstring injury picked up during the international break, while Alvaro Morata missed their defeat to Palace with the same problem.

Moses is now forecasted to miss Chelsea’s next five matches and remains a doubt for their clash with Manchester United on November 5.

The Nigeria international has been a revelation under Conte but his absence will now give deadline day signing Davide Zappacosta the chance to nail down a regular spot in the team.

Zappacosta has been limited to two substitute appearances in the Premier League since making the switch from Torino on the final day of the summer transfer window, but did score on his Champions League debut for the club.
