Chelsea eye shock move for Middlesbrough defender

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte is weighing up a move for Middlesbrough defender Ben Gibson as John Terry’s replacement, according to The Daily Mail.

Terry, 35, was handed a new one-year deal in the summer that is due to expire at the end of the season and Conte is keen to replace his captain with another English defender.

As a result, Conte has received glowing feedback from his scouts about Middlesbrough defender Gibson, as well as Burnley and former Manchester United centre back Michael Keane.
