Arsenal to move for tough-tackling Pole

Arsenal are readying a £33m bid for Sevilla midfielder Grzegorz Krychowiak, reports The Sun.

The Gunners have been strongly linked with a move for the Poland international, who has established himself as one of the finest in his position in Europe.

Sevilla would be loathe to losing the 25-year-old, who has established himself as a key member for the Spanish side.

Arsenal will likely dip into the transfer market next month after losing Santi Cazorla and Francis Coquelin to injury in recent weeks.

The north London side were told they'd need to spend £22m on Krychowiak in the summer, but the midfielder's decision to pen a new deal with Sevilla means his price tag has risen significantly.

The player himself, though, insists he is focusing on Sevilla, previously stating: "I don't think about what might happen in January or June.

"I could be an icon here for years, who knows?

"I will only change clubs if I can take a step forward here like I did when I left Reims."
