Sandro’s proposed move from Queens Park Rangers to Sporting Lisbon has collapsed after the midfielder failed a medical, reports The Independent.
The former Tottenham midfielder had already agreed a three-year deal with the Portuguese giants ahead of a cut-price £1.5m deal.
QPR are desperate to get the 27-year-old and his £50,000-a-week wages of their accounts and had hoped West Brom would make his loan switch from last season permanent.
However, Tony Pulis’ side opted against the move after he only made five starts for the Baggies and his proposed move to Sporting has now fallen through after a problem with his knee was flagged up in his knee by Sporting doctors.
Of West Brom players to have started at least five league games last season only two garnered a lower WhoScored rating than Sandro (6.39).
