Griezmann snubs Manchester United for £88m move

Antoine Griezmann has snubbed Manchester United for the second summer in a row and will join Barcelona at the end of the season, reports The Sun.

The France international was widely expected to join United last summer before penning a bumper new deal with Atletico Madrid.

United have cooled their interest somewhat since then but Jose Mourinho’s side are still long-term admirers of the 27-year-old.

However, the Red Devils may now have missed out on their chance to sign the Atletico star with Barcelona poised to secure his services.

Barcelona have been heavily linked with a move for the Frenchman all season and have reportedly now all but won the race to prise him away from their Spanish rivals.

Griezmann struggled to rediscover his best form at the start of the season but he has exploded into life since the turn of the year.

In fact, only Cristiano Ronaldo (18) has scored more goals than Greizmann (12) in 2018 in Europe’s top five leagues.
