Tottenham to reward England international with new deal

Tottenham are to set to hand Eric Dier a new deal following his performances last season, reports The Daily Telegraph.

Dier, 22, still has four years remaining on his existing deal but the versatile midfielder proved an integral player for Tottenham last season and England over the summer.

The former Sporting Lisbon defender is set to be handed a new five-year deal in an attempt to prevent future interest from their Premier League rivals.

Only Kyle Walker (179) completed more tackles and interceptions for Tottenham in the Premier League last season than Dier (160).
