Crystal Palace have earmarked Blackburn Rovers defender Shane Duffy as a potential replacement as fears grow they will lose Scott Dann in the summer, reports The Daily Mirror.
Dann, 29, has emerged as a shock target for Chelsea in recent weeks and Palace boss Alan Pardew is reportedly coming to terms with losing their star central defender at the end of the season.
As a result, Palace are tracking Ireland international Duffy, who is also courting interest from Hull and West Brom.
Duffy, 24, has been an ever present fixture in the Blackburn defence this season, which has only conceded 31 goals in 33 league games this season despite their struggles.
In fact, Duffy is currently in the Championship Team of the Season, with only Hull City defender Curtis Davies (7.48) garnering a higher WhoScored.com rating than the Blackburn stalwart (7.46) of all defenders in the division.
