Jose Mourinho will not stand in Anthony Martial’s way if he wants to leave Manchester United this summer, claims The Times.
Martial has turned down United’s offer of a new contract and is reportedly mulling his future at Old Trafford after three years at the club.
The France international has struggled to make a serious impression on Mourinho since the start of last season and wants regular playing time next term.
Martial’s current deal is due to expire at the end of the next season but United have an option to extend his stay by a further 12 months.
Barcelona have already been linked with a £60m move for the United No.11 and Mourinho is willing to cash in on the Frenchman.
Martial has only started 17 Premier League games this season, being forced to make a further 11 appearances from the bench.
Since joining United from Monaco in 2015, Martial has scored more Premier League goals than any other player at the club (24).
