Manchester United team news: Sanchez and Martial both start against Spurs

 

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has named an offensive XI including January signing Alexis Sanchez and Anthony Martial for Wednesday’s match away to Tottenham.

 

Mourinho’s side pulled off a shock deal to sign Sanchez from Arsenal last week and his arrival raised serious questions about Martial’s future at the club.

 

Both players tend to operate on the left hand side and it was feared Martial would lose his place in the team as a result of Sanchez’s arrival.

 

 

However, Mourinho has named both attackers in the starting XI for their trip to Wembley in what will be Sanchez’s Premier League debut for the Red Devils.

 

Tottenham are unbeaten in their last eight matches in all competition since a 4-1 drubbing at the hands of Manchester City and start this evening five points outside the top four and eight points adrift of second place United.
