Moyes set to leave West Ham

David Moyes is unlikely to stay on as West Ham manager beyond the end of the season even if he steers the club clear of relegation, reports The Daily Telegraph.

The Hammers appointed Moyes as Slaven Bilic’s at the start of November on a deal until the end of the season when the east London outfit where in the bottom three.

Moyes has successfully guided West Ham out of the relegation zone and into 12th but they still have a lot of work to do in order to avoid the drop as only three points separate 19th and 11th.

However, it has now emerged that the former Manchester United manager is expected to leave his post at West Ham regardless of whether the Hammers finish the season well.

Moyes set to leave West Ham

Newcastle boss Rafa Benitez has long been linked with the top job at West Ham, while the fact Marco Silva is currently out of work makes the former Watford and Hull manager an attractive proposition for the Hammers.

If the Premier League started when Moyes oversaw his first West Ham match, the Hammers would be 10th and seven points clear of the bottom three.
