West Ham eye summer move for frustrated Chelsea midfielder

West Ham have been alerted to a potential move for Chelsea midfielder Danny Drinkwater this summer, reports The Daily Telegraph.

Drinkwater joined Chelsea from Leicester in January in a £35m deal but the England international is already considering his future at the club.

The 28-year-old has failed to make any impression on Antonio Conte and is reportedly growing increasingly frustrated by his lack of first-team opportunities.

Drinkwater will wait to see whether Conte is sacked as Chelsea manager at the end of the season before deciding his future but West Ham are now monitoring his future.

Chelsea summer signing Alvaro Morata has also been linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge at the end of the season and now Drinkwater could follow suit.

Drinkwater has only started 12 games in all competitions since joining Chelsea and hasn’t featured in more than a month for the Blues.
